The Ruby Anniversary of Latin American Agribusiness Development Corporation S.A.

Since I had done their 30th Anniversary Gala Dinner I was contacted and booked almost a year in advance to create their upcoming gala dinner to celebrate their 40th anniversary. They wanted elegance and that’s the concept I worked with. The colors I used to design from the invitations to the Ballroom décor were ivory, gold and ruby red. I suggested doing a red carpet and lined it with sculptural women dressed in gold costumes and extravagant headpieces to greet the guests. The guests were photographed as they arrived in front of a step and repeat and at the end of the evening received, at their table, a bag with the photo, a note and a silver frame as remembrance of the occasion. To serve the sorbet I came up with the idea of individual mini ice sculptures with a red light inside and the reaction of the guests was amazing. The highlight of the evening was a performance of a dance group who recreated the famous Havana’s “Tropicana Night Club Show” with original choreography and costumes.
