Jenny’s 18th Birthday Bash

Jenny wanted to celebrate her 18th birthday at a South Beach Club. Since that was out of the question her parent’s who I have known for many years asked me to take over and create a “Club” in the ballroom of the private club they belong to. The perimeter of the ballroom was draped in white gauze with moving lights reflecting on the drapes to create the atmosphere. Illuminated platforms with dancers surrounded the dance floor, large white ottomans were brought in along with an illuminated bar for the buffet and long tall tables to sit the glasses and plates. Since no liquor was a must, three signature drinks were created and passed around by model waiters dressed in white. No adults were invited, I supervised the teens all night and Jenny’s parents made an appearance in the room to sing Happy Birthday and see her blow out the candles in the cake. It seemed like they were in a real club and just watching Jenny’s face when she arrived was worth all the work.
